Inspirational

Some of you out there will know that I have a personal connection to the world of disabilities. Our eldest son J is autistic, so we've had a little baptism of fire over in our house over the years.

I came across this story a few days ago. I made it about halfway through before I started crying and by the end of the accompanying clip, I was a wreck. This is how life is supposed to be. The yardstick by which we should measure ourselves as parents.

The most inspirational link I've seen this month: Team Hoyt

Cheers,
Lizzie

Wow Lizzie, you are one organised gal! When I get to my spreadsheet course online I'll be asking you for help :)

In the meantime, if you want blogging tips ask away-I'll happily share! I also posted a link to your site from my blog in my blogroll.

Aww, thanks for that! I have about zero traffic here right now and though I've had this blog for a few months now I haven't developed it at all until this week, so I really appreciate the link back :)
I know NOTHING about HTML, LOL. It's why the point-and-click stuff at Blogger appealed. But now I want to make it all pretty and don't know how! All I really want to do at the moment is to change the background image (the layout is fine but the picture is the same as Lady Lydia's Homeliving Helper, LOL) and to change the header picture from the white tulips to a 'banner' style. Don't stress too much about helping out with features here though - I know you're a busy mum, LOL.

Oh, and just to set the record straight. I am a PLANNER...I just have trouble being a DOER, LOL. Quite a large chunk of what you see with the Home Management Binder and spreadsheets is currently being ignored in deference to study commitments at the moment. Such is the merry-go-round of my life :P

Cheers,
Lizzie

Lizzie, you could try going to Customise, Edit HTML, then look for this code

body {
background-image:url(http://lizzie0259.googlepages.com/bluewithyellowstars2.jpg );

then if you replace the url in brackets with a url for a pic it should replace the background.

hth

Emma.

Yep, tried that, LOL...the 'blue with yellow stars' part is an attempt I made before to change the harbor background but it didn't take for some reason. I'll try again though.

Cheers,
Lizzie
