I'm Published Elsewhere! For The First Time!

Oooooh! My piece Miracles In The Flaws is up on Blog Nosh Magazine's website!

It's all about our eldest, J, and our experiences during the the early years after his autism diagnosis. Go check it out!

(And subscribe to Blog Nosh while you're there, because it's filled with great content).

This is my first official piece picked up for republication outside of my blog. Does this mean I get a fan-cee blog button?

It would certainly help clear the pneumonia-blues, LOL.

Official "I'm semi-back but still suffering somewhat" post to come later today.

Ha, not likely. Still feeling pretty rotten, doc warned me this could take weeks to fully shake, groan. In a cruel twist of fate my tastebuds are only functioning at about 60% capacity, which is slightly above everything tasting like Clag...

Woo-hoo! A published writer! Congratulations. Now I'll go over and read it.

Antibiotics are well known for bringing on oral thrush, hence the "dead" taste buds. Some extra vitamin C would help and your chemist might have something you can take for it as well.

Sarah, don't you dare, LOL.

I daresay I have eaten Clag at some point, but certainly not in the last 27 odd years (I am 29). I'm IMAGINING it tastes exactly as it looks - boring and surprisingly like glue, funnily enough.

Keep opting for very strongly flavoured things - ie, junk - just so I can 'taste' again. I think it might also have something to do with the antibiotics (the 'horse pills'/first script finishes tomorrow, the smaller/second script on Sunday, WOOT). DH has had countless bouts of tonsilitis since getting glandular fever a few years back and he has that happen to him a lot - no taste and certain bodily fluids start to get a bit whiffier than usual. I will not be sorry to see the back end of the drugs however I can tell I won't be completely up to scratch by then either. I *AM* feeling decidedly healthier over last week though, so I guess that's somethin'.
